First step is to be registered as an author. To become an author, you need to be invited by email. So
STEP 1: sign up on the SELF mailing list at http://eepurl.com/bfMVY9
STEP 2: Look in your email inbox and trash to verify yourself as subscribed to the list.
STEP 3: Wait a while until I get the message that you've been added.
STEP 4: Receive invitation to become an author on the blog; click accept. Not sure about whether google will force you to sign up for GooglePlus or a gmail account at this point. I hope not!
STEP 5: Start blogging.
If you are not familiar with the blog interface and software and just want to say something, just go to the top of the page and click on "New Post", write your post and hit "publish." If you want to keep things organized, please add a "Label" by opening the "Post settings" in the column to the right of the post you are writing. (Maybe use a label that's already in use.)
Your first post and label might be to "Introduce yourself…"
