First step is to be registered as an author. To become an author, you need to be invited by email. So
STEP 1:
sign up on the SELF mailing list at http://eepurl.com/bfMVY9
STEP 2:
Receive invitation; click accept. Not sure about whether google will force you to sign up for GooglePlus or a gmail account at this point. I hope not!
STEP 3:
Start blogging.
If you are not familiar with the blog interface and software and just want to say something, just go to the top of the page and click on "New Post", write your post and hit "publish." If you want to keep things organized, please add a "Label" by opening the "Post settings" in the column to the right of the post you are writing. (Maybe use a label that's already in use.)
Your first post and label might be to "Introduce yourself…"

ReplyDeleteWish I could see what you see. I believe that you have to be signed into a gmail account to actually post to this blogging platform. I invited everyone on the list to become an author, but forgot that google would likely automate a process requiring you to sign up for GooglePlus or a gmail account. Why are there always these roadblocks to universality?

DeleteFor the record, the problem was the admin (me) not checking the email list for new members so that I could invite them. I think I've got a handle on the process now!
